Home Tour: Tricia Guild from Designers Guild

There is no way you didn’t hear about Designers Guild, a company founded in the 70′s by Tricia Guild and her brother Simon Jeffreys. They sell beautiful fabrics, wall coverings, upholstery, bed and bath collections throughout Europe and worldwide! Go to their site and check all those stunning fabrics and charming wallpapers, they’re pure gorgeousness! Designers Guild won various awards such as Elle Decoration Award in 2002 for the best fabric design and American Elle Decor, in 2003, for the best collection of wallpaper! Tricia wrote several books about design, flowers (her weakness), colors and furnishings and I admire her for being so talented designer!

Back to Black

Hi everyone! A quick post about my new crush – black glossy floors! Don’t you just love how they look in a home, especially when the furniture and walls are all white? I surely do! The timeless combination of black & white always works for an elegant and stylish look! And also the white walls – black floor combination makes a beautiful balance of colors, which will convert your home in a dreamy place! Here are a few inspirational pictures:

New Lonny Mag faves

Hi everyone! I hope you’re enjoying your Thursday! I definitely do! In the morning I was pleasantly surprised with the new issue of Lonny mag which was launched today. The team did a wonderful job (again!) by featuring a lot of talented people, sharing with us tips about outdoor decorating – just on time as it seems summer has finally settled down here! I loved all those over 200 pages, so I’ll now share with you some designs that took my breath away and I’m still recovering after the dose of gorgeousness I witnessed:

Small apartment in Sweden

I came across the apartment I’ll share with you now yesterday and you can’t imagine how impatient I was feeling to show it to you!!! It’s small, just 61 sq m, but oh, so comfortable and neat! It’s located in Sweden and it perfectly suites my tastes: it’s a white space, with pops of colors here and there, it’s very organized and feels so home-y and the bedroom is actually an attic room! I adore it and I hope you’ll enjoy the tour as well!

Stylist Kate Morris

Kate Morris is a photo & prop stylist, set designer and just a talented lady from England, making up beautiful designs for 20 years now. When I looked at Kate’s portfolio, I felt warmth and coziness coming from the pictures, they feel home-y, although with bits of glamour. However, the natural, earthy colors are giving a special charm to the designs and photography. Please take a look:

Create your mood board on Olioboard

Wanted to share with you a new application I was introduced to last week. You know how I love inspiration boards, don’t you? I even have a folder with them on my desktop, as I think that’s such a creative activity and it’s not that easy as it may seem! Before, to make up an inspiration board, I was ransacking all the possible Internet sources to find the cushions I need, so their color and pattern match the curtains I already chose (just an example). Believe me, a lot of time is required to create an inspiring board! Last week I found out that my hard days of creating boards are done once the new application, Olioboard, was launched! It’s a new treasure for me, because the way Olioboard works is something I could only dream of. You create a board and to fill it you have over 10,000 items in the Olioboard item storage! Here are my mood boards, so far :)

Color+Inspiration: Dusty Rose

Lately, I’ve seen lots of dusty rose-inspired posts in blogland, so I thought I should give it a try! As I could see, dusty rose is becoming more and more popular, so if you aren’t a big lover of the color – become one asap, because it actually is a softer, muted tone of the pink, which can evoke elegance and style. Don’t know if I like this color when it’s on the wall though, might be looking a bit dirty, but I definitely love it in accessories. Here’s some inspiration:
